We've all been there before, arriving at the Cambridge station with a trunk so huge that we can hardly move, feeling thrilled, strange and maybe a little bit shaky. The first formal, the first pub crawl, the first taste of punting….Freshers' week is a unique experience that lasts long in our memories. Vacant Posts By-election Results

We have now filled all vacant positions and are proud to announce our full committee for 2006 - 2007. Thank you to all of those who expressed interest in filling these positions. The newly elected committee members are Yi Lai and Xiao Ma yl282@cam.ac.uk for the post of College Coordinators, and Clemens Matthiesen and Evita Jiang cm367@cam.ac.uk & xyj20@cam.ac.uk for the post of Society Coordinators.

Nominations Reopened for Society Coordinator

The Society Coordinator post on ICUSU executive committee is still vacant. We invite all of you who are passionate to contest for these posts. You will work hand in hand with international representatives from college JCRs and/or MCRs as well as over 60 international societies in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference!

These positions are open to international students of the university, both undergraduates and graduates, and to those who are self-defined international students. All manifestos, together with the name of a proposer and a seconder (both of which should be international/self-defined international), as well as the candidate's name, year and subject, should be emailed to Yin Lin (yl291@cam.ac.uk) by 23:59 Tuesday May 23th.

A Re-election will be held soon after the deadline to elect the society coordinator. The time and venue will be published soon.

>>> ++Important Rules++:
1. All candidates (or in the case of a job share, at least one member of the team) shall be present at elections, otherwise they will be disqualifed.
2. Candidates must submit a manifesto of not more than 200 words before 23:59 Tuesday, 23rd May.
3. All candidates will be invited to give a speech, not exceeding 3 minutes. Once all candidates for the post have given speeches, questions will be allowed, of which not exceeding 10 minutes.
4. All other election rules in the CUSU International constitution that do not conflict with rules 1 to 3 (involving guidelines for manifestos and posters) shall be followed.
